Thank you for joining me on the path.

The…

… best way out is always through, or so wrote Robert Frost. I grew up with art and in nature, with artist and gardener parents, and grew so comfortable in museums that I have worked in them all my life, mainly at The Metropolitan Museum of Art and The New York Botanical Garden.

Art and nature challenge and refresh my spirit every day.

Solace…

… accepts that disruption, difference, fear, and grief will always be present, and that when we meet the scary, the uncertain, head on and find comfort, we feel even better.

I know this firsthand, emerging from family trauma by spending serious time walking in nature and looking at art.

Art and nature change my mind.

Project…

…means work together. My newsletter shares resources and thoughts, looking anew and slowly at works of art and plants. My workshops focus on discussion and research, asking us to open up our dominant methods of study in art and science, looking for expansion and alternative ways of thinking,

Art and nature build community one work of art or plant at a time.
